Read House

Erected in 1925 and purchased by AƬ×ö°® in 1933, the beautiful heritage listed Read House is situated in the middle of our school campus, at the foot of the Top Oval.

As the former residence of our tenth Headmistress, Mrs Judith Poole, the house underwent renovations in 2011 and was recommissioned as a boarding house in 2012. Read House therefore looks and feels very much like a home, assisting in the transition of our Years 7 and 8 girls into boarding school. Each bedroom boasts beautiful sash windows and the building has maintained its original charm, warmth and character, while still providing modern living conveniences for the girls.

The house offers spacious two-, three- and five- bed configurations in the rooms, each with a view of the wonderful AƬ×ö°® campus which surrounds the house.
